To be a trusted source of information, high-containment laboratories must be trusted members of their communities. Consistent communication builds support and trust among the community and stakeholders. These communications need to be understandable, respectful, relatable and balanced with security. This presentation will offer examples of strategies used by the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility to build public trust, address risk perception, and ensure accurate and responsible information dissemination as they stand up operations.
