    Current Position
    Since 2012 Filippo De Franceschi is the BSO for Nestlé Research in Lausanne, and since 2021 he is the Global Biosafety Officer for Nestlé coordinating the Biosafety policies and trainings of Nestlé laboratories worldwide. 

    Experience
    O
    ver 16 years’ experience as a scientist in academia and industry settings with experience in cell culture, stem cells, flow cytometry,and enteric pathogens work. Management of BSL2 and BSL3 laboratories, biosafety and laboratory safety trainer, and internal auditor.

    Current Position: Lead Human Factors Health and Safety Specialist, UKHSA (UK Health Security Agency)
    Experience
    • Chartered member of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors
    • Member of the UK Energy Institute’s Human and Organisational Factors Committee which produces Human Factors guidance for major hazard industries
    • 23 years as a regulatory Inspector with UK’s Health and Safety Executive, including 16 years as a Specialist Human Factors Inspector. Significant experience of inspecting Human Factors at Major Accident Hazard sites, including chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas and explosives. Human Factors lead inspector for UK mining and High-Containment Microbiology
    • Lead Human Factors Health and Safety Specialist at UKHSA (since March 2022)
