BBP Movement of Biological materials Task Force
This task force is working on a practical guidance document for the movement of biological materials.
This task force aims to develop of a practical guidance document (“Manual for the movement of biological materials”) for BBP members on the recommended practices focused on
- regulation
- import/export requirements
- packing instructions
for a specific type of biological material including government agency contact persons.
The manual will be a living document, with necessary adaptations according to evolutions on the legal front (e.g. Access and benefit Sharing of Genetic resources), and mentioning procedures that were developed in collaboration with the legislators (e.g. CITES).
