14-15 May 2024 - pre-conference courses

Following highly rated training in Ghent 2022 and Athens 2023, EBSA will again offer carefully selected pre-conference courses in Antwerp 2024, with varied topics of relevance to all aspects of biosafety, and a particular focus on hands on and practical elements.

The selected topics for 2024 courses include, but not limited to:

• Arthropods & Biosafety
• Audit & Inspection
• Biological Risk Assessment – from paper to practice
• Biosecurity
• Operation challenges of a BSL-3 laboratory at the beginning/midst/end of its lifecycle
• Safety equipment in contained laboratories: from the biosafety cabinet to individual protection, a practical approach
• Soft skill training: Trained, but are they competent?
• Synthetic Biology: theory, practice and safety
• Venturing into the Field – What you need to consider

  We have 30 minutes slots available in all sessions:

  A selection of authors will be invited to give a 5-minute presentation of their poster during the main conference program. The best combination of presentation and poster will be awarded the special poster prize.
