Dear EBSA Members,
I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. As we reflect on the successful EBSA conference and pre-conference courses in Athens in April, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to every one of you for your participation and valuable contributions so far this year.
The courses and conference in Athens were a success, providing us with an opportunity to share knowledge, exchange ideas and foster meaningful connections within our community. It is through such collaborative efforts that we can continue to push the boundaries of of two disciplines, biosafety and biosecurity, and make a positive impact within and between organisations and also on society at large. As new President of EBSA, I was very happy to see your very active engagement regarding on how to further develop our community platform, especially for “beginners” in this field.
In addition to the presentations and the posters, we now also have the pictures taken during the conference available on the website.
Looking ahead to the future, I am excited to announce that the next EBSA conference and pre-conference courses will be held in the beautiful city of Antwerp, Belgium. Mark your calendars from April 14th until April 17th, 2024, as we come together again to explore the latest advancements, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and strengthen our bonds as a community. Later this year we will share further details regarding the conference courses and in Antwerp, including the submission deadlines, keynote speakers, and program highlights. Stay tuned for these exciting announcements as we shape an event that we all look forward to.
Also, keep posted for more announcements regarding other activities and resources that we are planning for EBSA Members during Fall 2023.
Once again, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support and engagement. May the next coming months of summer be a time of relaxation, charging of batteries and quality time spent with loved ones, in our homes or experiencing new adventures elsewhere. I look forward to the opportunity to reconnect with you in Antwerp next year.
