Social program

On tuesday 17th we offer a social program for the participants of our preconference courses and/or conference.

All registered participants will receive an invitation in the last week of March to register for free for these events. Please note that places are limited and first come, first served principle will be applied.

The tours are provided for free by EBSA. As places are strictly limited, a no-show fee of 25 euro will be charged for those not turning up for their booked tour.

  1. Visit the DTU brewery and LifeScience building  in Lyngby (max. 50 persons)

DTU Brewery is working to develop a sustainable brewery based on the latest technologies and multidisciplinary research. It is a hothouse for innovation and new ideas, where students, staff and industry across disciplines can try out new ideas and carry out projects involving all steps in the process from raw material to finished product.

DTU Brewery is a non-profit brewery, which can brew beer from laboratory scale to pilot plant level up to 250 liters. Because of the brewery's size it can produce results that are relevant to the industry.

The focus is on combining and optimizing technologies without compromising on product quality and shelf life.

The DTU Brewery collaborates with small and large breweries in Denmark, as well as associated industries such as enzyme producers. The National Food Institute heads up the brewery.

Buildings 201, 202, 204 and 205B form the new research complex at DTU Lyngby Campus. The new and unique academic environment houses state-of-the-art facilities for research, innovation, research-based advice and teaching in the field of life science and bioengineering, with a special focus on aquatic resources, food and health, and the veterinary area.

    The tour starts at 17:15

This tour is ideal for those attending a preconference course as it is on the DTU campus.

Information how to get there will be available in the conference app for which the invitation will be included in the information mail at the end of March.

The brewery website (only in Danish)
