Biocontainment Technical Task Group (BBTG)

Aim

The Biocontainment Technical Task Group was launched in 2012 to support the parts of EBSA's mission related to biological containment and engineering issues. It acts more specifically as a focal point with respect to laboratory design and engineering, as well as related emerging legislation, standards or practices in the field of biocontainment.

The scope of BTTG includes ensuring a technology, engineering and regulatory watch with respect to containment issues, the development of positions regarding containment, the representation of EBSA as expert group during technical discussion at European level and, upon request, helping CPWG and ETWG when organizing conferences and training courses.
